I’m a shoe sales associate, so I kindof have a fetish for shoes. So since I’m something of an “expert”, follow these guidelines if you want stylish feet. Without further ado, and in no particular order, the list of shoes I recommend (both men and women footwear):
- PF Flyers (the original Converse, because everyone and their mom has Converses. I do too, but perhaps it’s time for a change)
- Soda ‘Object’ (They look exactly like Toms, but I got mine for $12 as opposed to say $50. They don’t give a kid in Africa another pair, though)

- Vans (The Classic. And you don’t have to be a skater or a hipster to wear them)

- Teva Water/Hiking Shoes (They’ll cost you a pretty penny, though. And your firstborn child. Also, they’re not the most attractive, but super comfy)

- Big Buddha ‘Breeze’ (‘Toms’, but with foot support)

- Bass Loafers (For the Grandpa in you)

- Globe Duncombe ‘Bender’ (check out this site, they have great shoes: http://www.skatewarehouse.com

- Nike ‘SB Janoski’ (I tend to stay away from name brands, but these are pretty low-key and casual for Nike)

- Frye ‘Reagan Campus Driver’ (Lots of other colors too if purple isn’t your thing)

Notice that I left out Uggs and Nike Shox. I’ll admit that I still wear my Uggs at times during the winter, but PLEASE stop paying outrageous amounts for name-brands. Remember, shoes only cover your feet.
