I admit that I didn’t spend much time on these, although it’s no secret because I was working on them in class. So my ideas are: 1. lit light bulb vs. burnt out bulb (if I chose this, I think I’d want to have the burnt out one lying flat) 2.silhouette waiting for phone call vs. gloomy backdrop behind answered phone call 3. nails lying on highway vs. overturned car from flat tire (the nails were supposed to be close up, not scary giant nails). The general consensus from the class was that the phone pair was the most liked, so I’ll hopefully go with that one. Just kidding, after talking to my professor I’m going to go with the lightbulb one. I’m planning on either making a burnt spot or making it cracked with shattered pieces lying around it.

More Wacom Illustrations
26 Sep
Here’s my second attempt at illustrations on the Wacom tablet. These are relatively simple, with mostly outlines. I find that I like working on the tablet more than using different media to create illustrations because the lines look purposeful. I like that you can vary the weight while making a stoke too.

This is my first timeĀ ever using a tablet, and I love it! It takes little getting used to, and the pen strokes always seem purposeful. Here’s a few of my first ones.
